Peter Clayton
A FYLDE family has paid tribute to a 'lifelong adventurer' who has died in a car crash in Thailand.
Peter Clayton, 29, originally from St Annes, was killed in a collision in Patong on the holiday island of Phuket on November 17.
Peter's sister Jenny, from South Shore, said her brother was a "massive character" who loved to travel.
Unusual
Peter was working in Thailand selling timeshares and had been in the Far East for two years, having grown up in Dublin and St Annes.
Jenny said: "He was wild and adventurous, a really massive character.
"He had worked all over, not just in Thailand, in Spain and Portugal.
"He just loved to do the unusual. Peter would do things in his life his family would never have dreamed of.
"That was just what he was like.
"He lived his life to the full.
"His philosophy on life was summed up by an e-mail he sent to me.
"Pete said life is not all about work you are a long time dead! He told me 'Don't take life too seriously'."
Despite working in South East Asia, Pete stayed in regular contact with his family.
Jenny
said: "He would be speaking to his other sister Siobhan all the time.
"We would talk once a week and e-mail.
"The family will all miss him so much. He was such a massive character."
Jenny said Peter loved Thailand, where he had been working.
Her sister had been due to fly out to the country next week to join her brother for Christmas.
She said: "He always told us that it was the most beautiful place, although I have never been. I will one day.
"Pete you will be missed by all of us, we love you very much and I'm sure you will entertain everyone wherever you are."
Other messages left for Peter at online memorial site gonetoosoon.co.uk paint a picture of the former St Bede's High School pupil.
His father Ronnie wrote: "We all knew that we would not have you forever, nobody could be that lucky. You lived and enjoyed life to the max. You will be sadly missed by us all.
