Police hunting the killer of teenager Kadeem Blackwood are investigating sick messages left on his memorial website.

GoneTooSoon had to take down the 15-year-old's online memorial after gang members attacked it with shocking images and insults.

One message, posted by someone calling themselves Doris Bird, said: "Next time keep your gob shut."

Another user, Paul Collins, posted an image of a fiery hell next to the caption: "Kadeem's new home. Nice and warm..."

The teenager died from a shot to the chest at close range as he was walking with friends in Derby, and detectives are looking at gang rivalries as part of the investigation.

They are now examining the insults left on the popular website, which allows people to leave online tributes to loved ones, to help track down those behind his killing.

Terry George, who founded GoneTooSoon, said he was horrified by the abuse left on Kadeem's page.

He said the memorial page went up at around 9pm on Thursday night, and within an hour had attracted shocking messages.

He had to send three staff in to remove the insults.

When Kadeem's page was taken down, the sick individuals turned their attention to memorial pages left to other murdered teenagers.

The 43-year-old told Sky News Online: "Everyone has a right to have a memorial page where people can leave messages without this sort of abuse.

"I don't know the background to this, but the people it attracted to the site were pretty horrific.

"It's the worst attack we have had, and we've been going for three years."

Derbyshire's assistant chief constable Peter Goodman says a disagreement between two people may have escalated into Kadeem's death.

A 19-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder but police say they are looking for other suspects.

A number of photographs posted online show Kadeem in various gangster-style poses.

One line of inquiry is whether he claimed any allegiance to any particular gang.

Residents have been concerned about growing tension between gangs - the BCT and the A1 Crew.
