FELLOW comrades of a young Heysham soldier who died in a motor accident have described his tragic death as a 'huge loss'. Kingsman Anthony Philip Squires, 20, was killed when his red Nissan Micra left the B6255 near Chapel-le-Dale and collided with a tree last Tuesday.

A heartbroken dad today told of his desperate search for his teenage son just hours before he was found hanged yards from his home. The body of Kieren Whalley, 17, was discovered in woodland after he went missing from his Lostock Hall home.
