Thank you so so much for your kindness yesterday on my Nan’s Birthday. It made a difficult day a little easier to bear and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Such compassion is hard to find and yet here on Gone Too Soon, we know and feel each others pain, and it never ceases to amaze me how much time and devotion people give to each other here, it is a comfort to know people still care about each other.

I just wanted to say a big THANK-YOU from the bottom of my heart for all your love and support on Alex’s birthday yesterday. I was touched to see so many beautiful messages, tributes, poems, pictures and gifts that had been left for myself and Alex. Each and every one of them was very much appreciated. Even though we are all trying to cope with our own grief, it is such a comfort to be surrounded by so many lovely people, especially on these particularly difficult days.

A SIMPLE HUG

There's something in a simple hug that always warms the heart.
it welcomes us back home and makes it easier to part.
A hug's a way to share the joy and sad times we go through,
or just a way for friends to say they like you 'cause you're you.
Hugs are meant for anyone, for whom we really care,
from your grandma to your neighbor, or a cuddly teddy bear.
A hug is an amazing thing. It's just the perfect way
to show the love we're feeling but can't find the words to say.
It's funny how a little hug makes everyone feel good
in every place and language, it's always understood.
And hugs don't need new equipment, special batteries or parts
just open up your arms and open up your hearts.
