About me

I am Adam's Nanny. Adam is my first grandchild. My daughter phoned me at work to say her GP couldn't find Adam's heartbeat and that she had to go to the hospital. By the time I got there she had had a scan and been told that her baby had died a couple of days earlier. I was shown into a small room at the ante natal clinic where she was. A lady came in and explained what would happen next. Sarah then realised that she would have to go through labour and birth. The doctor allowed Sarah to come home for a couple of hours but we had to take her back by 3pm. I stayed with her the whole time. Adam was born at 36 weeks at 6.15am on 27th September 2008, weighing 5lb 81/2 ozs. It was the saddest day and from that moment my life will never be the same.
