On reflection,

I am a son to my parents who sadly passed away many years ago. I am brother to my siblings and a father to my children, an uncle and a friend to some.
For reasons that don't make sense to me anymore I moved thousands of miles from those I love which upon reflection was misguided and down right stupid.
Each and every day I wish I could take the hands of time and roll them back so that I could right some wrongs and change so many things I did as a young man. In all honesty, those choices I made in the past were not made in the best interst of anyone but myself because I was ignorant, needy and selfish and I dearly regret making those choices. But, on reflection I married two wonderful people who produced four wonderful children and for that I am a lucky man. I wish with all my heart that I could take those hands of time and change those things I did which hurt so many loved onces who didn't deserve to be hurt. Though my actions were never intended to hurt anyone, it hurt them nonetheless and for that I am truly sorry.
Let me tell you something for nothing. This site is a true blessing because the more I read the more I realise what is really important in life and it's not me that's for sure. I or should I say "we", need to understand from an early age just how and why we need to give more, be kinder and patient and be more caring than we are, be more honest than we are even though it may hurt. It's now May 09 and time for change because spring is in the air and so too is my outlook on life.I promise to try harder and make more of an effort to do my best for everyone, not just my family but everyone in my life. I realise that I can't turn back the clock but I can change my attitude and with that the future will be brighter.
I hope that God, the creator or who ever you pray too is there to help you too, so stop wishing and do more, smile a bit longer and light a cangle even if you don't know those who have passed on.
