Dear Sandra,
Thank you so much for your support yesterday on David’s First Anniversary. It has indeed been a very emotional and lonely couple of weeks, being the first time I have had to spend the Christmas period without both Rebecca and David.
However, the support and loving wishes I have once again received from my friends on the GTS site were overwhelming and touching and have really helped me so much. Your sentiments are so genuine and sincere as you yourself know what it is like to lose a loved one. I have read every poem, tribute, candle and looked at all the pictures and gifts left – they are all so meaningful and beautiful. Please know that your kindness at this difficult time has meant so much to me.
I send all my love and warm and healing thoughts to you all, especially to all your loved ones who are no longer physically with us but who guide and watch over us from their world.

My Dear GTS Friends,
Once more, I have been overwhelmed and so touched by the kindness and support given to me by all of you on Rebecca’s Birthday. It was especially welcomed this year as it was the first Birthday I have had to get through without the support of my Husband David. It just wasn’t the same going to Rebecca’s grave by myself on this special day. David always insisted on coming with me every time I went to the cemetery but all he ever did was look over the stone wall behind Rebecca’s grave onto the fields but I still missed his physical presence.
I think it is wonderful the way we all support each other, not only on special days, but we always seem to be there for each other with a listening ear. If everyone showed such kindness to each other as we do, then the world would probably be a better place!
Your candles, tributes, pictures, gifts and messages were beautiful. A very big thank you to all of you.

PS Sorry if my candles, tributes etc. are a bit hit and miss at the moment. I’m having some work done in the house and I am having to disconnect my computer but I will come on whenever I can and hopefully, I will be back to normal shortly.
In My Garden
In my garden, filled with flowers,
I sit in quiet prayer
And, as I look around me,
I see my loved one everywhere.
They’re in the fragrant roses,
In glorious array.
Their perfume lingers in the air
And takes my breath away.
A gentle breeze is blowing.
Sunshine warms my face.
How near to my loved one I feel,
In this enchanting place.
