About me

I am 36, mum of two lovely girls, Beki aged 12, who sadly passed over on the 20.06.08, and Josie, 11.
Beki sadly suffered from the lung disease Cystic Fibrosis, being diagnosed at 3 months after poor weight gain.

I never really took on board the fact that CF was as serious as it was, as Beki was such a vibrant girl. I saw a gifted fighter in my daughter, who filled up her 12 years to the full. Beki was very talented, winning a scholarship in acting, treading the boards with Linda Lusardi in panto, and winning dance awards. In October '07 I took Beki to London as she was offered an audition for Britain's Got Talent in Covent Garden. Beki did her set very well, singing All That Jazz,(Chicago) though there was much competition and she didnt get called back.
Even from a very young age, Beki loved to sing and dance, so I enrolled her at age 6 in The Italia Conti Associate School in Plymouth, which she loved. Most recently, Beki passed a LAMDA examination at Easter, near to the end of her life. I do hope that you enjoy Beki's songs which she recorded a year before she left us. Beki sang the songs on her 12th birthday 10.09.07, and after spending much time in Kings College Hospital in London.

I vow to continue to fund raise for CF, and help find a cure for this cruel disease. Currently I am looking to get back to work and hopefully expand my skills in holistic complimentary therapies, inspired by my daughter to help others. I enjoy the gym, nutrition, reading, spending time with my daughter, travel, crystals, healing and complimentary therapies.

UPDATE: 1.12.08 I recieved a letter two days ago from Britains Got Talent offering Beki another audition for this year's show. I sat in floods of tears remembering last years performance Beki gave to the shows producers.
I know Beki will be singing and dancing in heaven and now the brightest star in the sky.

If nobody smiled and nobody cared
and nobody helped us along.
If every moment looked after itself and
good things always went to the strong;
If nobody cared just a little about you
and nobody cared about me,
and we stood alone, in the battle of life,
What a dreary old world this would be
Just because of the friends we have made
And the things which in common we share,
We want to live on, not because of ourselves
but because of the people who care.
It is doing and giving for somebody else
on which all of life’s splendour depends.
The joy of this world, when you’ve summed it all up
is found in the making of friends.

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Friday afternoon

Hi Rachel,

It's so nice to hear from you again.

It's a pleasure to put things on Beki's site; she is a beautiful young girl and I am sure you will miss her just as much as I miss my Becky.

I too hope the festive season passes quickly. We just don't do Christmas any more. I find it just as emotional and difficult as birthdays and anniversaries. However, it is hard to evade it as it is everywhere - TV, radio, shops etc. Other people haven't got a clue have they.

Please do keep in touch Rachel.

Lots of love to you.

Why God Made Friends

God made the world with a heart full of love,
Then He looked down from Heaven above,

And saw that we all need a helping hand,
Someone to share with, who'll understand.

He made special people to see us through
The glad times and the sad times, too;

A person on whom we can always depend,
Someone we can call a friend.

God made friends so we'll carry a part
Of His perfect love in all our hearts.

Thank you for all the lovely things you do for Rebecca and for all the support you give to me, despite your own grief, which makes an unbearable situation just a little easier to get through.

True friends will always stay with you,

Through good times and through bad.

They’ll take the time to listen,

When something’s made you sad.

When you’re feeling lonely,

They’ll let you know they care.

They may be very busy but,

They’ll find the time to share.

True friends are happy for you,

When good things come your way.

They’ll celebrate your triumphs

And encourage you each day.

If you have a friend that’s true,

Count your blessings for this gift.

For, she will stay with you forever,

When the rest have gone adrift.

THANK YOU FOR BEING MY FRIEND
AND FOR ALL YOUR LOVE & SUPPORT

Outside it may be dark and dreary,
The clouds dull and grey.
The rain just keeps on coming.
No flowers to pick for a bouquet.

But as long as we have computers
And an email I can send,
You’ll always have sunshine
My dear GTS friend.
