About Mell

I have been married to Paul for 15 years and have three wonderful daughters
Rosie 13 yrs Amber 10 yrs and Tilly 5 yrs.
Tilly the youngest was born with breathing difficulties and was put on the uv
lighting for very high levels of jaundice i was given a blood transfusion.Tilly
was always in and out of hospital while she was little. she also had whooping
cough at three months old and often went blue and limp, we never slept for 6
months with fear of her stopping breathing some one was always watching over
her, i also caught whooping cough so i knew what she was going through it was
horrible not being able to catch your breath it was very frightening especially
as she was so little she lost all her weight and went back to her birth
weight. She had a lactose intolerance which didn't help,She had many tests for
cystic fibrosis and leukaemia and to our relief the results came back negative
she was always a worry that she would never gain weight but she has and now at
5yrs old has finally caught up with all her friends and has been healthy since,
we often look back and count our lucky blessing that she got through it and is
now a healthy little girl.
My heart goes out to all those parents who have lost a child and i will light
a candle as much as possible to any child i can on the site, i have written a
poem that i try and put on every childs tribute to let them know there are
people out there who care and are thinking of them and their families.
Thankyou for reading a little about me and my family and thankyou to everyone
who have been lighting candles on my sites.

TO ALL OUR G.T.S. FRIENDS.

WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY NEW YEAR X

♥ Remember (by Steve Goodier) ♥

Remember that your presence is a present to the world.
Remember that you are a unique and unrepeatable creation.
Remember that your life can be what you want it to be.
Remember to count your blessings, not your troubles.
Remember that you'll make it through whatever comes along.
Remember that most of the answers you need are within you.
Remember those dreams waiting to be realized.
Remember that decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Remember to always reach for the best that is within you.
Remember that nothing wastes more energy than worry.
Remember that not getting what you want...
is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
Remember that the longer you carry a grudge, the heavier it gets.
Remember not to take things too seriously.
Remember to laugh.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot goes forever.
Remember that happiness is more often found in giving than getting.
Remember that life's treasures are people, not things.
Remember that miracles still happen.

Love to you my dear friend. xxx

Tuesday morning

A Friend Should be Radical, Fanatical and Most of All, Mathematical…

A Friend should be Radical;

* They should love you when you’re unlovable,
* Hug you when you’re unhuggable,
* And bear you when you’re unbearable.

A Friend should be Fanatical;

* They should cheer when the whole world boos,
* Dance when you get good news,
* And cry when you cry too.

But most of all, a Friend should be Mathematical;

* They should multiply the joy, divide the sorrow,
* Subtract the past, and add to tomorrow,
* Calculate the need deep in your heart,
* And always be bigger than the sum of all their parts.

You are everything a friend should be!

Slow Dance

This is a poem written by a teenager with cancer.

She wants to see how many people get her poem. It is quite the poem Please pass it on.
This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a
New York Hospital .

It was sent by a medical doctor -Make sure to read what is in the closing statement
AFTER THE POEM.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores Running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste, Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die, Cause you never had time
To call and say,'Hi'

You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

PART 2.....FORWARDED
E-MAILS ARE TRACKED TO OBTAIN THE TOTAL
COUNT...do not change the title

Dear All:
PLEASE pass this mail on to everyone you know - even to those you don't know! It is the request of a special girl who will soon leave this world due to cancer.

This young girl has 6 months left to live, and as her dying wish, she wanted to send a letter telling everyone to live their life to the fullest, since she never will.

She'll never make it to prom, graduate from high school, or get married and have a family of her own.

By you sending this to as many people as possible, you can give her and her family a
little hope, because with every name that this is sent to, The American Cancer Society will donate 3 cents per name to her treatment and recovery plan. One guy sent this to 500 people! So I know that we can at least send it to 5 or 6. It's not even your money, just your
time!

Somehow in this great big world
I found my way to you
My friend across the computer lines
My heart, my soul, that's who.
