Hi Mellisa thanks for your post.
To lose someone so special and so unexpectedly is very hard to accept and I myself still dont accept Deans gone after a year.
Its not just your own pain its watching your loved ones also in pain.
I know my daughter Sarah finds it so hard not only has she lost her precious only brother but she has to watch her mum and Dad fall apart.
This is early days for your mum and she probably doesnt even realise whats happened and how she will never be the same person again.
I speak to a lot of mums whove lost young sons some a year ago, some 6 years ago and the answer is always the same
You never get over it just learn to be stronger with the pain and then you learn to wear different masks
A work mask
A socialising mask
and then in the comfort of your loved ones the real you may sometimes come out
My love to you, your mum and all your loved ones, try to be strong but cry when you need to, scream if you need to and just get over each day and dont thunk about tommorrow

Yeah let's hope it is. We'll never forget him or what happened but we need to help each other cope!!!
Yo dude, HAPPY NEW YEAR big sis x x x x
