14/08/10 MY VERY OWN BLESSING

I am happy to tell you that Casey's little brother and sister arrived safely on the 7th of August. Our little man (William George Coombs) was 7lb10oz and our little lady (Rebecca Rose Coombs) was 6lb 9oz, thankfully both are dong really well.
Thanks to everyone who has been so much support along the way, it's lovely to have some amazing news to share for a change.

Casey was my first baby, It has been a long road to pregnancy it has taken me over 10 years & 3 IVF attempts to come this far.
We received a call from the hospital to say she had a very high chance of having Edwards Syndrome. If she did the pregnancy would probably not go to full term.
The Syndrome ment if born with it what little life she did have would be difficult and painful for her.
We decided to have an amnio to find out. We were so happy when we were given the all clear. Sadly the amnio caused the loss of all my waters. We decided to continue the pregnancy, & hoped that maybe it could fix, & she would be able to produce enough fluid to get by. Casey battled for 3 weeks then sadly on a routine scan it showed that her heart had stopped. A part of me died that day and I will never fully recover. We had to deliver Casey, we got to hold her and spend time with her. We even visited with her the following day & left her with photo's of her mummy & daddy & her per dog billy, he used to love curling up beside the bump she really would know his snore. Her funeral was on Dec 16th I was so proud of her Daddy as he carried her into the service it was so hard for him.
I will never forget Casey, I am grateful that I got to be her mum. For the short time that she was inside me I was the happiest person alive & no matter what happens I will always have that.
