My son Alan who was 31 died on the 27th of October 2008. He was the eldest of 4 sons and an absolute star. We have just found out (1st June 2009) that Alan died of a Heroin overdose. This didnt come as a surprise because he had a drug habit that he found so difficult to control. He tried every day, and did manage to beat it for months at a time, but this time the habit beat him.

He was a wonderful, funny, very loving son. We all adored him, but life was so hard for him to handle. After 15 months it still feels so unreal, and i miss him like mad. I feel that he is about to walk in the door at any moment. It cant be real but it is!

In 1976 my first child and Alan's big sister Moreen was born. She was so beautiful with big blue eyes and red hair, but she had Spinabifida but, bless her, she died when she was almost 5 weeks old.

In 1988 their little brother Lewis was still born. He was a bouncing 8'12ozs and had the same red hair. Born already an angel. I know they are all together.

I havent been on the site very much over the last year, but when i do come back on i am so thrilled to see the kindness that you all show.

I am sorry that i've not been able to light candles over the last few months. My lovely husband had been so ill with cancer and joined all my angels on the 25th March 2011. Its been such a terrible time as so many of you know.

SORRY I'VE NOT SENT ANY CANDLES THIS WEEK BUT MY SON JAMES HAS HAD A MOTOR BIKE ACCIDENT. HE'S BROKEN HIS ANKLE IN 3 PLACES BUT HAS HAD TO HAVE AN EMERGENCY SPLEEN REMOVAL YESTERDAY. HE WAS IN A BAD WAY FOR A WHILE BUT IS NOW ON THE MEND. I THINK ALAN WAS HIS GUARDIAN ANGEL. LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR ANGELS XXXXXX
