~ Life's Tug Of War ~
Life can seem ungrateful ~ and not always kind...
Life can pull at your heartstings ~ and play with your mind...
Life can be blissful ~ happy and free...
Life can put beauty in the things that you see...
Life can place challenges ~ right at your feet...
Life can make good ~ of the hardships we meet...
Life can overwhelm you ~ make your head spin...
Life can reward those ~ determined to win...
Life can be hurtful ~ and not always fair...
Life can surround you ~ with people who care...
Life clearly does offer ~ it's Ups and it's Downs...
Life can bring you ~ both smiles and frowns...
Life teaches us to take the good with the bad...
Life is a mixture ~ of happy and sad...
SO...
Take the life you have ~ and give it your best...
Think positive,be happy ~ let God do the rest...
Take the challenges that life has laid at your feet...
Take pride and be thankful ~ for each one you meet...
To yourself give forgiveness ~ if you stumble and fall...
Take each day that is dealt you ~ give it your all...
Take the love you are given ~ and return it with care...
Have faith that when needed ~ it will always be there...
Take time to find the beauty ~ in the things that you see...
Take life's simple pleasures ~ let then set your heart free...
The idea here is simple ~ to even the score...
As you are met and faced with ~ Life's Tug Of War.

A Special Friend
Author Unknown
I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that you've been always glad to be;
I'd like to mean as much to you each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine, to me along the way.
I'd like to do the big things and the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray from out your skies and leave them only blue;
I'd like to say the kindly things that I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul the way that mine you've stirred.
I'd like to give you back the joy that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need I hope will never be;
I'd like to make you feel as rich as I, who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours with you to lean upon.
I'm wishing at this time that I could but repay
A portion of the gladness that you've strewn along my way;
And could I have one wish, this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me.
lots of love cathy xx
