hi gloria bonfire night is really called guy fawkes night,its an english tradition celebrating from centuries ago when guy fawkes tried to blow up the houses of parliament,He never succeeded but we still celebrate it every year on november 5th.We make an effigy of Guy Fawkes with old newspapers stuffed into old clothes which is placed on top of the bonfire to burn, quite macabre really. (hence bonfire night). Hope this helps love Lynn xx.
