About me

What do you want me to say? My name's Laura Jane Quick, and I'm the daughter of two wonderful parents - John and Christine Thomson.

I have been with my wonderful partner Gordon since 2nd March 2002, and we got married on 24th September 2004. Although I grew up in East Kilbride, Gordon and I moved to Stoke-on-Trent in October 2003.

We've both been through a lot over the years but are always there for each other and without Gord, I reckon I'd probably not be here right now. I seem to spend a lot of time in a very low place, suffering from depression caused by a build up of events over the years, starting with the loss of my son on 28th June 1999 but I was 'tipped over the edge' with the loss of my mum on 23rd February 2007 - something that I can't come to terms with no matter how hard I try.

People say time is a great healer, I can't agree with that - with every day that passes the hurt increases and the thought of not being able to lift the phone or go and visit loved ones becomes more and more difficult.

My memorial garden is a place for me to come to talk to my mum and son, and also for friends and family to leave their thoughts for the special people in our lives. Take care xxx

Thank you for taking the time to read this little bit about me, I would be extremely grateful is you would be kind enough to light a candle for my baby boy Jordan Thomson and my beautiful mum Christina Thomson.

You are right and I'm sorry. Let's give Jordan and Tasha parents to be proud of. And we need to each get on with our lives. I'm deleting my account on here now and am going to leave Jordan a special message which I'd ask you not to delete. Here's to making our sons proud... and respecting his memory. I'll always love you and the kids but I know that things won't change. Fxx
