I'm now living away from where I lived since losing Alan, my soulmate and best friend. I like where I stay but can't say it's a happy home without him.
Time keeps on going by, day after day,
Moving around, talking the same way,
Yesterday rained, today’s full of sunlight,
See people walking, everything’s alright,
Clock keeps on ticking, it’s all as it should be,
Makes no difference at all that I feel so empty,
But its fine, I’ll just take another pill,
And forget that my world is standing still,
So when the phone rings, I’ll talk away to you,
You wont realise my heart is broke in two,
I know you’ve moved on while I’m stuck in the past,
Didn’t think that the good times wouldn’t last,
Cant take it in, my life’s just too crazed,
This is it now, the past cant be erased,
Time spend wishing I’ll wake from this dream,
And things aren’t as bad as they seem,
It cant happen, You’d think I’d realise,
Its over, there’s no way to compromise,
And I try hard to just let it go,
Why do I have to know what I know?
Missing all the things that I took for granted,
So unaligned, now my outlook is slanted,
Can I get passed this, do I even have a choice?
Nothing I can do, I don’t even have a voice,
So lets not talk about the days that’s gone by,
I’ll get used to living out this lie,
