The Gift of Friendship

Friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But its value is far greater
Than a mountain made of gold.
For gold is cold and lifeless,
It cannot see nor hear,
And in your times of trouble,
It is powerless to cheer.
It has no ears to listen,
No heart to understand.
It cannot bring you comfort
Or reach out a helping hand.
So when you ask God for a gift,
Be thankful that he sends,
Not diamonds, pearls, or riches,
But the love of a real, true friend.

I can no longer look upon your face.
But in my heart you'll always have a place For deep with in me, your seed still grows It left my body but not my soul.
We shared a heart for for a brief time, Your little body protected mine.
You had to leave it but there was so much joy and thrill and always will.
You were my special little girl.
I watched you grow and learn and play,
It seems like it was yesterday.
You had a plan and you never faltered.
Not knowing that your life would be altered.
You determinedly walked in your own path And lived the life you longed to have.
Yet, never got the chance
To walk your walk and to dance your dance. I hurt so much, you never got that chance.
To leave you there on that cold rainy day.
It was so hard to walk away with the tears. A parents nightmare had come to me.
It was the morning I had to bury my daughter.
Although I know you are in a better place,It's day to day for me.

They will listen to you both night and day without ever making a fuss.
A friend will stand by your side when you are right and sometimes when you are wrong.
