The festive season starts now! Halloween and Bonfire Night are like our little warm up before Christmas and the New Year. We all associate Halloween with trick or treating, children dressed in costumes, bobbing for apples and of course scary movies. You may be surprised to know the root of Halloween lies in the Roman feast of Pomona, the goddess of fruits and seeds and the Celtic festival Samhain which translates as 'summers end'. The tradition of carving pumpkins was actually an originally started with turnips as a way of remembering souls held in purgatory. This then gave way to pumpkins at the end of the 19th Century hence the familiar lanterns that we know today. Whatever you are doing this Halloween I’m sure you will have a wonderful time. Back by popular demand will be our Halloween gifts, with a bigger and better range than last year. We are adding some of your suggestions to that range so look out for them, I’m sure you will find something perfect for your angels.
