The old site was simple to use and worked well without any problems. I can't understand why Gonetoosoon.co.uk have launched the new site with all the problems it has. It would have been far better to have a mirror site so the new site could work alongside the old one until everyone was happy if it had to be changed at all.
If something works well as the old site did then why fix it. As the Americans say "If it is not broke then don't fix it!"
With the new site one can not edit the details of candles or tributes therefore as we have all seen we can not correct the names of the people who have written the tributes and lit the candles as not everyone has internet access so often the details are given to the site creator to list on that person's behalf. On the new site this comes up under the site creators name although it has been written on someone else’s behalf.
We need the facilities that the old site had to make sense of the tributes and candles lit! It would nice if someone from Gonetoosoon would reply to my points so everyone could correct the many mistakes the new site has created and upset so many people.
I look forward with hope that Gonetoosoon.co.uk will reply to my comments which echo what so many people have been saying since the changeover on Wednesday 27th August 2008.

seems to me theres more ppl that want the old site back than there is ppl liking this new site, u say time and effort went into changing it BUT we didnt ask u 2 do that infact we wasnt even informed about the change..........dnt you think summat shud be done about it or @least have a vote on it???
i really dnt like the new site its messed everything on my brothers site removed the messages on my photos etc *sighs* there was messages from my brothers kids 2, they wanted 2 talk to there dead daddy and u removed it thats sad u have no heart :(

Maggie- people do not like change. It's against human nature.
And some people just like to look at the bad of things and not to the good.
I truly think with time everyone will calm down and become adjusted. The human ability to adapt has proven itself time and time again and it will happen this time too

Sorry to hear you dont like the new site.
For nearly 5 months the front page of GTS advised there was a new site under constuction. Comments were invited from all users and they were posted on the home page for all to see.
Comments for how the site could be improved were collated and then users were asked would they like to volunteer to test the site.
At every stage GTS consulted users of the website, not every suggestion was taken on board due to costs and time, but the changes were entirely down to the people that used the site and a full consultation took place.
