Poems for our precious angels

I'm often searching the internet for poems and small verses to put on memorial pages and candles, so i thought it would be a good idea to start a thread, whereby we add any we have for everyone to use.

I'll start...

MY GRANDCHILD AND I

We are connected my Grandchild and I,
by an invisible cord not seen by the eye.
This cord it works right from the start,
it binds us together attached to my heart.
I know it's there though no one can see,
the invisible cord from my grandchild to me.
The strength of this cord is hard to describe,
it can't be destroyed, it can't be defied.
It's stronger than any cord that man can create,
it withstands the test and can hold any weight.
And though you can't be here anymore with me,
the cord is still there but no one can see.
It pulls at my heart I am bruised and sore,
but this cord is my lifeline as never before.
I am thankful at least that we can connect in this way,
a Nan and a grandchild they can't take it away.

RE: Poems for our precious angels

Dear Mom,
We're sending you hugs on Angel wings of gold,
Oh, so many for you to hold.
We'll blow you some kisses in the gentle breeze,
With some tears on sad days like these.
The Angels are bringing you some flowers,
We picked you a bunch.
Softly placed in your open arms,
One from each one of us.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts

Tears flow easily reading the poems of many. I guess our hurts are truly embedded in us because its very hard not to cry at our family, and friends gone too soon.
