i would like to know how many people are aware of the goverments plans to take away attendance allowance and care component of the dla and give it to the social services meaning every sick and disabled person will be dependant on social services and some will get none at all

This should not be taken away what should happen is they should make sure no one was abusing this allowance, Then there would be enough money to give the ones who genuinely deserve it double what they give them now.
I know people who are proud and struggle on with no help, they genuinly deserve this allowance and are not getting it. I also know people who are getting it and are as fit as a fiddle.
I'm backing off now before I get jumped on, but do feel so strongly that the system is all wrong.

Ingrid I agree with you there, I know people who are on it and that are fine, and then there are people who get pennies when they could really do with the money... it will be forever before the government sort themselvs out though x

hi i never knew anything about this my mum is disabled and cant even go out to do shopping or anything she can hardly walk it takes her all her time to go to toilet and back i hope they dont cut my mums as she is riddled with atheritise has diabetis and very high blood pressure i do know a few people that are on it and to look at them theres nothing wrong with them my mum also uses a simmer frame in house and if she can get out on a good day she takes her scooter with her xxxx

I was on incapacity benefit but it got stopped because now they do not class you on what you can not do but on what you can do,meaning if you can make a drink, breathe, walk,etc etc then tough.I get so angry as I am not even entitled to jsa and yet other get everything handed to them on a plate.It is time the Government woke up and smelt the coffee as they say! XX

You have to answer no I can't to every question on the form and then if you are turned down, appeal.
Those of us who are completly honest and say well sometimes on a good day I can make a simple meal for myself or on a good day I can walk 20 yards. don't get it.
it dosent seem to matter that you might be in agony for a few hours after walking those 20yards the fact you have said you can means you are turned down.

we havent heard anything about this in scotland when is it due to take affect on poor disabled people like my mum does anyone know because if my mum looses anything i will make sure the social servises give my mum all the help and support she needs xxxxx

well i dont come in the forums but just read this and it is a very raw subject for me my carl was totally dissabled had is legs crushed at work but the powers that be took carls dissability of him but let him keep is mobility as he could not walk wheelchair bound and i did every thing for carl washed him took him to the toilet on the commoud as he could not get up the stairs had to wash him with him sitting on his commoud how do they work that one out then ? by the way never claimed not one penny care money for carl did every thing for him out of love xx
