This thread poem 2 as been started to follow on from poem 1
Anyone may add their poetry to this thread, also feel free to copy/paste poems for your memorials.
Please remember that poems added on this thread belong to someone else, so when copy/pasting them please add the Author's name.
If you are not sure where the poems have come from be safe, do not add them.
The reason for this thread, is so that none of us have to run through many poetry site's over the net to find a verse, or poem.
Breaking copyright rule's is a serious offence, not just on the person that removed that copyright, but for this site.

Thanks for taking time to read, please feel free to add, also remember to leave your name at bottom of poem.
If you allow anyone to use your poems, and give permission to remove names, say so at the bottom of poem.

If only i could smile again
Learn how to enjoy my day
I died too the day you left me
You'l get over it people say
Whats the use in trying
When you are not around
My heart is broken into pieces
Since we lay you in the ground
Please dont tell me to get a grip
I feel to weary to carry on
Iv no more fight in me
Since the day my love was gone
There is one thing that keeps me going
That lets my heart still beat
Is the knowledge il see you again
Where in heaven we will meet

TODAY IS YOUR FIRST ANGEL DAY WE SEND SO MUCH LOVE
WHILE YOU REST IN HEAVEN WITH THE LORD ABOVE
WE REMEMBER ALL THE LOVE YOU GAVE SO FREE TO ALL
SO MANY HAPPY MEMORIES WE CAN ALWAYS RECALL
YOUR LOVE WAS SO PURE HONEST AND TRUE
FOR THIS WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU TOO
FOR THE ANGELS CAME THEY CALLED YOUR NAME
EVEN THOUGH OUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

I WILL NEVER EVER GET OVER LOSING YOU
MY HEART IS SO FULL OF HEARTBREAK AND SO MUCH PAIN

FOR THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US SEEMS SO FAR

THEY TELL ME THAT MY LOSS IS HEAVENS GAIN

The old classic car
sitting in a field
Waiting to be judged
from its sunroof to its wheels
Parked side by side
with others from its era.
The owners waiting hopefully
as the judging's getting nearer
These old motors are their
owners pride and joy.
Their owners are grown men
these motors are their toys
To these grown men
their cars are poetry in motion
Most of their wives
just haven't got a notion
They don't understand
what is the fascination
With musty leather
muddy fields
and engine conversation.

MY HEART IS HOLDING SO MANY TEARS
MY HOPES MY DREAM,AND MY FEARS
I TRY TO KEEP THEM FROM THE WORLD OUTSIDE
THEY ARE MY SECRETS I HAVE TO HIDE
SO I WILL CRY MY SILENT TEARS ALONE
FOR TRUE LOVE I HAVE NEVER KNOWN
THEY ARE TEARS I SHED FOR BOTH ME AND YOU
FOR THE PAST AS GONE THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO
TIME IS SLOWLEY PASSING BY
ALONE AT NIGHT MY TEARS I CRY

NO FUTURE TO BUILD MY DREAMS UPON
BECAUSE THEY WERE WITH YOU BUT NOW

I NEED YOU DAD
I need you dad oh so very much
I need you dad please stay in touch
I need you dad to take away my pain
It will only go if you come home again
I need to know that your alright
I love you dad with all my might
I need to know that your not in any pain
Why did God take you dad?
What did he gain?
I need to know if you can see me now
Please dad give me a sign somehow
I need to know if your ok
I think about you everyday
I need to know because not knowing just breaks my heart
And my heart broke in bits dad the day we had to part
I need to know dad that your around
You don't even have to make a sound
I need to know that you are here
Just stroke my face dad or blow gently in my ear
I know all the pain you went through dad
And you would want me to be happy and not be sad
But this ache in my heart just won't go away
It would only go if God sent you back home with us to stay.

DAD
One night while you were sleeping
This angel came down for you
With wings as strong as an eagle
It lifted you, then it flew
When we awoke next morning
We all had a broken heart
We knew nothing about that angel
We just cried as we were apart
It was later that day we saw it
A huge rainbow came with the rain
And it was bigger than ever before
Went on and on like a railway train
It was then that we seen you standing
At the middle of that rainbows stairs
You seemed to be calling to us
Something about saying our prayers
Then as the sun came out
That rainbow soon faded away
And there we stood confused
As we dident know what to say
Later that evening we slept
And dreamed of being with you
You called out our names
And said heres what you got to do
Say a prayer for me my family
And ask the lord if i am sad
And he will tell you that i am happy
And heaven as just welcomed a dad
And say a prayer for your self
And ask the lord to send me a line
I promise you this my children
The answer will be that im fine

You Meant So Much

You meant so much to all of us
You were special and that's no lie
You brightened up the darkest day
And the cloudiest sky
Your smile alone warmed hearts
Your laugh was like music to hear
I would give absolutely anything
To have you well and standing near
Not a second passes
When you're not on our minds
Your love we will never forget
The hurt will ease in time
Many tears I have seen and cried
They have all poured out like rain
I know that you are happy now
And no longer in any pain.

SCARED TO LOVE.........,
NIGHT NIGHT MY LITTLE MAN I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
LIFE IS JUST SO HARD WITHOUT YOU TO HOLD AND TOUCH
I KNOW THAT I STILL HAVE A REASON TO BE HERE
BUT I JUST DO NOT KNOW THE FUTURE I FEAR

TOO SCARED TO SHOW TRUE LOVE OR REALLY CARE
INCASE I WAKE UP ONE DAY AND THEY ARE NOT THERE
MY WORST NIGHT MARE ALREADY CAME TRUE
THAT WAS THE DAY THAT I LOST YOU
SWEET DREAMS MY LITTLE PRINCE REST IN PEACE
