RE: ADD YOUR POEMS PART 2 XXXXXXXXXX

He stood brave he stood tall he was the soldier
A hero for his country against the foe
He stood proud in the crowd in his uniform
And people saluted him where ever he did go

He went to war for his queen and his country
A soldier the bravest of them all
The lives that he saved was uncounted
And this soldier always stood tall

He was a king, a leader, an hero
He never tired or cowered away
He was the soldier fighting for his country
And would take whatever came his way

One day his luck nearly faded
The bullet hit him outright
The soldier the hero the warrior
Lay dying alone in the night

The scenes of his life flashed before him
He could see his comrads in the lights
His mother, his father, his family
Shouting come on soldier you can fight

The force was to strong to let go now
He was a soldier he had to fight to the end
With blood pouring from his body
He crawled to get help from his friends

Everything before him went black
He thought god it is the end
But he was saved this brave soldier of our country
All thanks to his wonderfull friends.

MISS YOU DAD

I miss you dad like flowers miss water
I miss you dad as i was your daughter
I miss you dad like deserts need rain
I miss you dad so please come home again
I miss you dad like plants need the sun
I miss you dad as we had such fun
I miss you dad like a lock needs a key
I miss you dad as you were so special to me
I miss you dad like a beach needs sand
I miss you dad to hold my hand
I miss you dad like a fish needs water
I am so proud to say dad that i was your daughter.

RE: ADD YOUR POEMS PART 2 XXXXXXXXXX

if only i could see you smile,
or hold you for a little while,
it make me oh so very happy,
to just see you, my little chappy.

but heaven is just to far for this,
just to far to give you a kiss,
it breaks my heart dear brother,
because i know i cant have another.

but one day i will be with you,
this i know is true,
and i will get to hold your hand,
then i know i will understand.

YOU ARE NOT HERE TO CARE
YOU ARE NOT HERE TO SHARE
OUR HOPES OR OUR FEARS
TO HOLD ME CLOSE AND STOP MY TEARS
TO GIVE ME HUGS WHEN THINGS ARE NOT RIGHT
TO HOLD ME CLOSE ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT
YOU WERE MY LIFE YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME
SO OPEN YOUR EYES WHY CANT YOU SEE
WE ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER
NOT JUST FOR NOW BUT FOREVER
I NEED TO HOLD YOU FEEL YOUR TOUCH
TO SHARE OUR LOVE THAT MEANS SO MUCH
MY LONLINESS I CAN NO LONGER HIDE
FEELING LIKEPART OF ME AS DIED
LIVING ON HOPES LIVING ON DREAMS
KNOWING WHAT TRUE SADDNESS MEANS
ITS TEARING ME APART LIVING LIKE THIS
THE LOVE OF MY LIFE I CANT HELP BUT MISS
IM SORRY WHAT I SAY IS SAD BUT TRUE
I AM FINDING IT SO HARD TO LIVE WITHOUT YOU
WHAT CAN I DO,WHAT CAN I SAY
I CAN ONLY HOPE I CAN ONLY PRAY
THAT YOU WILL FEEL MY PAIN INSIDE
YOUR FEELING FOR ME YOU WILL NEVER HIDE
SHOW ME YOUR LOVE,AND THAT YOU CARE
THAT WE HAVE SOME THING SO SPECIAL
WE CAN BOTH SHARE.....

RE: ADD YOUR POEMS PART 2 XXXXXXXXXX

Each night I shed a silent tear
wishing you were with me here.
I feel your presence every night
and your arms wrapped me oh so tight.

But I want you here right now with me
to feel those arms so tenderly.
Saying "I'm here with you my please feel my touch,
I love you darling so very much."

Sadly it was time to go,
I didn't want to leave you, NO,
but the Lord called me from up above
and said "it's time to go my love."

You drifted off upon that cloud
and I shouted oh so loud..
"Please don't leave me,I need you your love".
But you just floated to heaven above.

I miss you each and every day
and to the Lord I always pray,
"Please look after my angel above
and give him all my everlasting much love.

RE: ADD YOUR POEMS PART 2 XXXXXXXXXX

My Soldier Boy

My angel was a soldier boy
travelling far and wide,
He served his country faithfully
with his comrades by his side.

My soldier boy was just a child
when he signed up for the cause,
but little did we know that soon
he would be fighting in the wars.

He wore his uniform so proud,
and medals for all to see,
but little did I know quite soon,
he wouldn't come back to me.

So as he waved bye bye that day
We both stood there and cried,
and then that awful letter came
for his country he had died.

I sometimes smile, I sometimes cry
now that we are apart
I will never forget you soldier boy
You're always in my heart.

RE: ADD YOUR POEMS PART 2 XXXXXXXXXX

I have loads of poems I give permission to be used here on Angels sites
Heartache

Ten tiny fingers upon your little hand,
Ten dainty toes on your feet to help you to stand,
I look into your sleeping face and my heart is filled with love,
How can something so beautiful now be an Angel above?
Your eyelashes so long upon your sweet face,
No one will ever take your place,
The joy we all waited for is now replaced by tears,
The numbness, the heartache, along with all our fears,
I want to hold you in my arms and never let you go,
My darling child, how I love you so,
A part of me went with you the day you were called home,
I feel that my world has stopped and I feel so much alone,
I gently place you down for one last time,
Tears are on my face as I whisper, "peace be thine",
Without you I am nothing, and never will be again,
All I feel is heartache and a huge, huge pain,
My darling child you will be loved and missed every single day,
Goodbye is to final a word for me to ever say,
God only gave you to us to borrow,
Loved today, yesterday and for all the tomorrows.

In memory of my darling grand-daughter, Alisha Marie cruelly taken by SIDS aged 8 weeks.

RE: ADD YOUR POEMS PART 2 XXXXXXXXXX

A New Life Just Begun

I wish that you were here right now
to celebrate with me
your brand new baby grandson
for all the world to see.

His tiny little fingers
and his tiny little toes
his lovely little ice blue eyes
and a cute little button nose.

He is but just a few days old
and is good and good can be
he snuggles into mother's breast
a beautiful sight to see.

He opens his eyes and gives a yawn
and makes a funny noise
then mummy lays him in his cot
with all his cuddly toys.

It brought back all the memories
of when we had our son
and that look of joy upon your face
at a new life just begun.

Now he is a new daddy himself
full of happiness and pride
The look of love is in his eyes
with baby by his side.

He lifts him gently in his arms
just like you used to do
and whispers softly in his ear
I wish Granddad could see you too.

But we both know that you were there
Even though we're far apart
and although I could not see you
I felt you in my heart.

RE: ADD YOUR POEMS PART 2 XXXXXXXXXX

Just A Few Moments

Just a few moments in time is all we had,
You were there when times were bad,
You held me tight and made me smile,
It hurts to remember we only had a short while,
I want to thank you you with all my heart,
I did not want us to ever part,
You gave me hope when there was none,
I can not believe that you now have gone,
I wish we were still together,
For I will be waiting to join you forever,
We crammed a lifetime into the time we had,
Shared the good times and the bad,
You have gone now, back to where you belong,
I will try my best to be strong,
So thank you for all you did for me,
I will now set you free,
I will try my best not to be sad,
I will always remember the precious time we had.
