Can n e body help me here, my partner died in april this year and we have a 2 and a half year old son together just recently our son has been seeing a man and its scares him he stands still where eva he sees this man and screams saying mummy the man is there i told our son to tell the mman to go away then about an hour later my son said its ok mummy its only my daddy but he is still screaming wheneva he sees this thing or person, i dont really think he understands where his daddy is with him being so young but this is freaking me out.

ITS UNDERSTANDABLE THAT YOUR SON WILL DO THIS A BIG PART OF HIS LIFE HAS GONE. I LOST MY SON IN 2001 AND MY TWIN NEPHEWS WHERE BORN IN 2002 AND WHEN THEY LEART TO TALK THEY DONE THE SAME THING, TILL ONE DAY AT THE AGE OF THREE THEY CAME TO ME AND SAID " IM SORRY AUNTIE BECKY, I ASKED THEM WHAT THEY WHERE SORRY ABOUT AND THEY SAID THE BABY WE SEE IS YOUR SON IN HEAVEN HE TOLD US WE ARE SORRY HE IS THERE AND NOT HERE. THAT VERY SAME YEAR I LOST BOTH NEPHEWS.
IT SCARED ME ALOT WHEN THEY SAID THIS TO ME BECAUSE THEY WHERE ONLY 3 BUT HOW ELSE WOULD THEY KNOW, ALL I CAN SAY IS YOUR SONS DADDY IS STILL HERE LOOKING AFTER HIM HE WILL BE HIS IMAGINERY FRIEND.

hi maureen sorry for the loss of your partner.
i can understand what you are going through as my son did the same but it was his sister he kept on seeing his sister and he was only 2 years old it freaked me out as well i told him that she was there to look after him and talk to. it made him feel happier when he said his sister was there i just said has she come to play with you and he would say yes he seemed to be ok with that and as he got older he did not mention her being there. i dont know if this helps but good luck and once again sorry for your loss.

My Grandaughter was 18mths old when her grandad died and for many months she used to see him and talk to him, she said he used to follow her everywhere and sit on the bed with. she even used to take our hand and show us where she had seen him.

hi maureen i lost my bill in feb this year our 4 year old newphew often still talks to bill and told his mam that when he dies he wants to be a ghost like uncle bill. your son will be confused with what has happened but hopefully will begin to understand that his daddy is there to protect him. thinking of you jayne xxx
