RE: does everyone keep sympathy cards
I have not been able to take my son's cards down and it was 2 years ago today. The problem I have is if I take them down I will read them again. Also my husband and I have both said they will come down when we are both able to take them down. We even still sleep with the blanket his was born on.xxxx
RE: does everyone keep sympathy cards
i have kept all my cards for my son also the tags off the flowers i dont think i could ever throw them away.my son passed away 2003. with some of my family its as if my son never existed they dont even say his name now and if i mention him they cut me off.they dont even go the crem on his birthday or memorial and we were very close before.my friends are more helpful than my family at least they do speak about my son.
RE: does everyone keep sympathy cards
YOUR EMOTIONS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE AND ALTHOUGH YOU MAY THINK PEOPLE DONT CARE JUST THE GESTURE OF SENDING A CARD MEANS THEY DO, THEY MIGHT NOT CARE THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO BUT IF THEY DID,NT THEY WOULD,NT SEND A CARD.
I HAVE KEPT MY SON,S FOR HIS TWO CHILDREN TO LOOK AT IN A KEEPSAKE DRAWER WHEN THEY WANT TO AT ANY TIM, THEY ARE 7 AND 5, THE 5 YEAR OLD IS DISABLED BUT THEY WHERE SENT FOR HIS DADDY.
SO IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THEM - DO SO, IT,S NOT HURTING ANYONE AND YOU COULD HAV ANNIVERSARY DAYS IN THE FUTURE TO REMIND PEOPLE EACH YEAR YOU WHERE GRATEFUL FOR THERE SUPPORT AT A SAD TIME IN YOUR LIFE.
TAKE CARE

RE: does everyone keep sympathy cards
I kept all the cards I got for Justin. Everything, I still have a few plants alive from the funeral too. I clipped some of the flowers to dry out and save. True, there were cards from people who didn't know him and didn't really care, however, they thought to send a card and I keep everything related to Justin. He isn't here, so these things I do have.
