I lost my mum this week suddenly she was aged 42 but has been in and out of hospital for the last 3 years with kidney trouble,she must have been in so much internal pain!! i just miss her so much she was my everything, we spoke 3 to 4 times a day and was always popping round!!!! What hurts the most is that i am about to become a mum too as i am 5 months pregnant and my beautiful mum will not meet her grandchild which she was always asking, "when you gonna make me a grandmother" what does help is the fact that she was there for the first scan she saw her little grandchild dancing on the screen i remember her being sooooo happy and proud at the sight! I miss you soooo much mum, but i know you will always be with me you live through me and i guarantee you will live through your grandchild!!! I know you are watching us and i promise to make you proud!!!!

I am so sorry for the loss of your mum Bonita (what a beautiful name by the way)! Like you, my mum never saw my first born who was born exactly one year and one day after she died. I am a grandmother myself now! Its one of the hardest things to face but my children have always known about the granny that they never got to meet and you will be able to do the same! Thinking about you!

Thinking of you both,my son aged 7 has just lost his granparents,(my mum and dad) within 4 months of each other,it reminds me of me losing my granparents young too,and one i never met. Look after yourselves,god bless. xx

My heart goes out to you too Susan! I lost my mum when I was only 22 years of age and have always felt cheated out of the extra years that we should have had! I hope things get better for you really soon x

Hi Bonita lm so sorry for your loss,my heart goes out to you.l lost my mum 17 yrs ago and it still hurts,she was only 44. l was 6 months pregnant when she died
it was a very sad and difficult time for me.your mum will always be looking down on you watching you every day, lf you ever want to chat lm here,sometimes its good to talk to someone whos been in the same situation. take care and god bless

I was just looking on your page there Susan after adding you as a friend and notice that your mum was the same age as mine when she passed on (62)! I also stay not that far from you in Bathgate! Coincidence eh? You never, ever *get over* losing your mum and I think about mine every day. Its been 28 years this year since my mum passed on through heart disease but in many ways it seems like yesterday. In other ways it seems forever and one thing that gets me, is that while I can remember every part of her sweet face, I cant remember what her voice sounded like!

Thank you to you all and it really does help talking to people who have experienced the same even though i know we all have to go through it. I do feel that there is a smile at the end of tear cause i know thats what my mum would have wanted me to be strong!!!
Shiela, i had the same trouble with my mums voice, i trying to remember too and what helped was how she said my name, hope it works for you!!
