I lost my Mum 7 weeks ago. I had been her Carer for the last 5 years while she was living with us and she was in poor health during the last few years with Leukaemia, but went downhill from February when she had a stroke and lost her mobility. She then had to be hoisted everywhere which she hated. It was very hard seeing her like this and I wish I could just take all her pain away. Sadly she lost fight for life and I now miss her so much. There is a big hole in my life now and I don't know how I am ever going to fill it. I can't concentrate on anything and I am thinking about her all the time. I am finding it very hard to take in that she has gone and I am never going to see her again. Everyone keeps telling me that it will get easier, but I find it very hard to believe at the moment.
RE: Loosing my Mum
Lo único que te puedo decir es que tienes que pedirle mucho a Diosito y espero que estés bien... el tiempo ayuda mucho

RE: Loosing my Mum
Hi Freda,
So sorry to hear all your sad news.
I lost my mum 15 mths ago and i cried every day for a year.
How you're feeling at the moment was how i felt for a year.
I am learning to cope without my mum, although difficult as she was also a friend. I still can't believe her passing even now.
You take care.
Love Jennifer

RE: Loosing my Mum
i lost my mom 13 years ago she was my mom, my friend, my everything and my world was threw upside down completely - i still go to call her on the phone, i still think she will be sat in her chair. the pain never goes, the tears still flow but you get by by living one day at a time and take the offer of support from friends and family, my tribute on gone too soon helps me, everyone copes differntly but you will find a way of living with the loss. my heart goes out to you, you will be in my prayers xxxxxxx
RE: Loosing my Mum
Hi Freeda,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my own mum 9 months ago and I can honestly say that I dont think a Day has gone by when I hav'nt cried a little sometimes alot. But occasionally I have good days where the crying is less and the happy is more, if you know what I mean. however well meaning people come out with all this 'time is a great healer' stuff as they dont know what else to say.
But as my friend said to me you only get one mum its a different type of grief as she is one of the only people who knew you your whole life. Take care xx
