I lost my mother on 09-09-08 to breast cancer.she had been fighting this battle for almost 5 years at a stage 4!she did all that she could.fought the fight.took the medications.took trial and experimental treatments.she did all that she could.and still could not beat the beast that was on her like glue.
for some reason this time around, [this being her 2nd time with breast cancer - first time was in 1992] and she beat it with a few simple rounds of radiation.
this time the beast was mad,angry with her,it was too aggressive this time.and sadly it claimed her life at age 53,shortly after her birthday in fact.she had just turned 53 on 08-18-08.
my mother was so strong.i didn't even know that she had that determination and strength in her.until i saw her fighting this cancer.
she is my HERO.she did everything right.
I just HOPE that she knows that the choices that I made in the END were what I thought was RIGHT for her.
she leaves behind not only myself but my 19yr old brother.and my daughter her grand daughters ages 8 & 3 yrs old.they all miss her so much every day.
everyone that knew her misses her so much.
MOM: I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I AM WHO I AM TODAY BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU TAUGHT ME AND I ONLY HOPE THAT ONE DAY I WILL BE AS STRONG AS YOU WERE.
I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH that words can NOT even begin to describe.
