Both my mum and dad diagnosed with bladder cancer within weeks of each other(april 2008),mum had operation first and was really poorly, then dad had his,dad seemed to be doing ok , then on jan 7th i was told he had metatasis and not long to live.I stayed by his side for the following 10 days not daring to leave.Sadly he passed away on 17th january this year.I promised him i will look after my mom, putting my life on hold to keep that promise, but each day i think about him and it still hurts like mad.i dont show it to my family cos i gotta be strong for them and mum but its killing me inside.Im so angry with the hospital they took my dad away from me.

tracey my name is georgina i am so sorry you must be going through hell the loss ov your dad will always hit you the hardest as you were there and cause ov the shock and the very little time you had to except the idea it sounds like to me your not giving yourself time to grieve you must do this as if not it will lead to all kind ov problems with your mum make sure you are getting in out side help macmillan nurses night time carers you must not carry this on your own and thats not a bad thing or reason to have guilt this means you can give better care as you will be having a break sleep fresh air freshing up taking an hour to let some thoughts out for your dad what ever it maybe you must allow yourself that time you are only human and if you dont it will be you who is poorly seek councilering as i feel this will really help you and make sure you have some one to turn to and talk to i am here any time feel free to go onto my garden and leave me a message and i wil get straight back to you stay strong your in my prays and god bless you.xxx
